How the current estimator works
The Floridian Blinds quote calculator currently uses a planning rate of $9 per square foot for Zebra Shades.
The calculator also allows motorization at +$130 per selected unit and installation at +$20 per window.
Those numbers are a starting point only. Final pricing can change after exact measurement, fabric selection, minimum product charges, access conditions and installation review.
A simple pricing example
For three windows averaging 36 × 60 inches, the approximate total area is 45 square feet.
At the current $9/sq-ft planning rate, the shade portion is about $405. Adding installation for three windows adds $60, producing an estimated total of about $465 before any motorization or project-specific adjustments.
If all three were motorized using the current planning add-on, the calculator would add $390, bringing that example estimate to about $855.
What changes the final price
- Window dimensions: taller and wider openings use more material and may require different hardware.
- Fabric and color: not every fabric collection has the same cost or performance characteristics.
- Motorization: motor type, control method, power requirements and compatibility can change the scope.
- Installation conditions: height, access, wall material and unusual openings can affect labor.
- Quantity: multiple windows can create a very different project than a single opening.
